Just replacing our old SP6 with a modern cheap and nasty version so we can take our much loved 'original' to our new house! Don't know how old our one is as it was a fixture in our outside loo when we came to our soon to be sold property. Delighted to see you are still in business !

Coughtrie International operates, predominantly in the UK, from its operational base in Glasgow, Scotland. Since its inception in 1941, 75 years ago, the company has built and enviable reputation producing luminaires for arduous environments and is proud to boast that Coughtrie luminaires are "British Built to Last".

Since 2009 Coughtrie International has been part of the M2H Group of Companies and has undergone a root and branch transformation of its business whilst retaining the core identity of an established organisation. Today it remains a reassuring presence providing reliability and functionality to an established customer base. 

Company History

Established in 1941 by the original Mr. Coughtrie at its premises in Glasgow, Scotland the name Coughtrie is associated with reliable fittings which can be fitted and then relied upon to withstand the arduous environments they are exposed to with minimum maintenance and upkeep costs.

Now part of the M2H Group of companies luminaires are produced utilising a UK based supply chain which means the company can boast the "Made in Britain" logo, a low carbon footprint which safeguards local jobs through local content.

The workforce boasts many years worth of lighting experience and our expertise is recognised in over 6 million fittings installed to date. The company continues to develop and will be moving to new, purpose built operational headquarters in Glasgow during 2013 whilst remaining true to its core - British Built To Last.
